Viewer hours are calculated based on the total number of hours each viewer watches.
10 viewers watching 2 hours equals 20 viewer hours; 10 viewers watching half equals 5 viewer hours.
Transcoding allows viewers to manually select the video resolution appropriate for their connection speed and bandwidth. You can stream at a high resolution (720p or higher) and still reach viewers that can only handle 480p or lower.
